Tour in Gori
In this tour you will face one of the greatest dictator Joseph Stalin museum which was constructed in the 1950s. The Museum stands around the house where on December 21, 1879 the great “Kremlin Highlander” was born into the family of shoemaker Besarion Dzhugashvili. The house as a part of the Museum complex is a high-ceilinged stone structure.There are also the archives of the chief with his childhood and teenage verses. The separate hall has the collection of gifts to Stalin. Everywhere stand stone, wooden, plaster Stalin's busts.
Uplistsikhe Cave town is an ancient rock-hewn town in eastern Georgia, some 10 kilometers east of the town of Gori, Shida Kartli.Built on a high rocky left bank of the Mtkvari River, it contains various structures dating from the Early Iron Age to the Late Middle Ages, and is notable for the unique combination of various styles of rock-cut cultures from Anatolia and Iran, as well as the co-existence of pagan and Christian architecture.At the summit of the complex is a Christian basilica built of stone and brick in the 9th-10th centuries. Archaeological excavations have discovered numerous artifacts of different periods, including gold, silver and bronze jewellery, and samples of ceramics and sculptures. Many of these artifacts are in the safekeeping of the National Museum in Tbilisi.
